STACY H. SCOTT, PHD
[ ABOUT ]
I work at the intersection of architecture and uncertainty. My practice focuses on spaces where permanence doesn't make sense - places shaped by instability, transition, and adaptation. I study temporary structures, small-scale design, thresholds, and non-space as essential spatial strategies in contexts defined by climate shifts, infrastructural conditions, with a strong focus on the Caribbean. I'm interested in how architecture responds - not just formally, but socially and spatially - to conditions where stability is not guaranteed, and where space must hold complexity, care, and change.
